Eva Longoria Biography

Eva Jacquelline Longoria was born on March 15, 1975 in Corpus Christi, Texas, USA. She is the youngest of four sisters. Eva attended Roy Miller high School in Texas where she focused her attention on sciences. Upon graduation, she attended Texas A&M University-Kingsville where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. During this time, fellow students and peers referred to her as “Miss Corpus Christi, USA”.

After she completed her college degree, she entered a talent contest which took place in Los Angeles, CA. There she was spotted and signed by a theatrical agent which marked the beginning of her marvelous acting career.

Eva Longoria landed her first television role in 2000. She guest starred on the hit TV show Beverly Hills, 90210. In 2001 to 2003, she landed the role of psychotic Isabella Braña Williams from the popular American soap opera The Young and the Restless. There she was noticed by People en Español's, which labelled her as "Most Beautiful People" for 2003.

During early 2004, Longoria auditioned for ABC’s world break-out hit Desperate Housewives. She starred as adulteress Gabrielle Solis. Desperate Houswives became an overnight sensation which brought the spotlight on Eva, thus her acting career was well and truly launched. However, Longoria feels that her acting career did not jump to success as many other do. Instead she quots “I think it’s funny when people say I’m an overnight sensation, because I’ve been working at it for 10 years”.

In 2005, she was rewarded for her performance as Gabrielle Solis in Desperate Housewives when she was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series - Musical or Comedy along with her co-stars. However, Longoria, along with her co-stars did not win, but she was awarded the prestigious ALMA AWARD, and named entertainer of the year. Recently she won a People’s Choice Award for Best TV Actress.

After Longoria had been dating General Hospita’s star Tyler Christopher, she decided to to get married on January 20, 2002. This marriage continued until January 19, 2004. Since the divorce, she has been romantically linked to successful writer Milan Gracanin, ex-NSYNC member JC Chasez, actor Mousir Syed and Life As We Know It star, Sean Faris. As of November 30, 2006, she became engaged to Spurs point guard Tony Parker. As many know, she sits courtside of almost all San Antonio Spurs games to cheer her future husband on.
